Wexford Track & Field Championships, Enniscorthy, 21-Jul-2021

The Striders had 14 under age athletes competing at the Wexford Track & Field Championships for under 9, 10 & 11 age groups. On a really hot evening, at the Enniscorthy track, there were lots of great performances from all our athletes, with many competing for the first time. The good news is that lots of county medals made their way back to New Ross. TJ Murphy had a clean sweep of Gold medals in the 60m, 600m and Long Jump events. Orlaith Ryan also won Gold in the Turbo Javelin event, where Melissa Cleere finished third. Katelyn Corish and Charlie Power were also medal winners in the 60m and Javelin event respectively. Well done to all our athletes who competed – Aoife Wall, Ellen Murray, Melissa Cleere, Orlaith Ryan, Meabh Cullen, Katelyn Corish, Isabel Haberlin, Cathal Moloney, Ollie Murray, Aaron Lennon, TJ Murphy, Conall Delaney, Charlie Power and Charlie Flood.
