Ferrybank AC Open Track & Field, RSC Waterford, 07-Apr-2019

Giving a big shout out to the USAC Juvenile squad who competed against all the big clubs in the south east and retained the trophy for “Best Club” at today’s Ferrybank AC Open Track & Field event. They all gave it their best and had great fun throughout the day. There were many great individual performances and lots of our lads were proudly wearing their medals (which are really nice). But on a day when we won the club event by the narrowest of margins, today was all about the team. A big “get well soon” to Dylan Galvin and Tommaso Hickey who were all set to join us, but couldn’t, due to last minute injuries – hope to see you both back at training when you are fit and well.
Thanks to our TY students – Erinn, Claire, Aoife, Conor & Patrick who not only competed in their own events but also helped with the younger athletes, on the day.
Thanks also and well done to Brid Golden and all at Ferrybank AC, who put on a great event, as always. Brid kindly traveled to New Ross and helped USAC with a jumps workshop, only a few short years ago, when we had only a handful of juvenile athletes. How times change…
